With the shang royal burial practices it shows that they had interest of the Shang rulers with their ancestors. At the last capital of Shang, Anyang (in present-day Henan province,) there were lots of gigantic royal tombs, The one examined here is Fu Hao’s tomb who is the only member of the Shang royal family that the tomb was found unlooted in 1250 BC, it is a tomb of modest size located outside the main royal cemetery. The tomb is a single large pit, 5.6 m by 4 m at the mouth

Lady Fu Hao was an amazing character in China’s History, she lived 3 millennia ago, where the society was heavily dominated by men.Fu Hao took on roles that other women would never imagine. She was a mother, wife, priestess, military leader, politician, and a shaman. When her tomb was found in 1970 is showed her important position in her life
There were oracle bones in which they were used to communicate with their ancestors, the gods. The oracle bone inscriptions also had Fu hao mentioned as the consort of King Wu Ding and general who took part in many military campaigns She also presided over important sacrificial ceremonies and controlled her own estate.
